(ADJ.) NORWEGIAN FOR FRESH; MADE, EXPERIENCED OR RECEIVED ANEWAs a designer, I’m inspired by the beauty of nature and the unique story of each couple I get to design for. I love to create arrangements using fresh, seasonal blooms and minimal foliage, with special attention to color and texture. My style is often described as romantic, natural, and modern, with a touch of wildness.
I started Fersk as a way to combine my desire for a creative life and my love of nature. Influenced by the simple, natural style of Scandinavian design and the strong, stubborn work ethic of my relatives, I chose the name Fersk which is Norwegian for fresh. More than 200 weddings later, I still can’t believe I get to call this my job!
Our Philosophy
Flowers don’t last forever. They’re with us on our most special days and then they, like the days, are gone. We believe this isn’t a weakness of flowers but a strength.
As you glance down at your bouquet, we hope it reminds you to soak in all of the day’s beautiful moments. As you see the blooms in your ceremony installation, we hope they remind you to pause and reflect on the amazing promise you’re about to make to your partner. As you look out at the centerpieces on your guest tables, we hope they remind you of the deep love that comes from being surrounded by your favorite people.
